A new year of Sunday school started on Sunday, September 9, with the introduction of classes and teachers. Elementary and middle school students are once again utilizing the Gather‘ Round curriculum, which is endorsed by the United Church of Christ. Look for weekly bulletin notices for parents about each week’s Sunday school lesson. This TALKABOUT will give parents the Bible story or verse that was read during Sunday school, and suggest some activities and starting points for discussion at home. In recognition of the presidential election year, high school students spent the first few weeks of fall discussing faith and politics as part of the Faith Questions program from the Presbyterian Church USA.

Third grade students were presented with the gift of a Bible during the church service on Sunday, September 23. Following the service, the third graders (along with any older children interested) were invited to train to serve the church as acolytes.
