Book Study

Would you like to learn how your congregation could get to know the Bible and make it relevant for today's living? Essex provides practical tools to engage you in your immersion into scriptures. Theologically and biblically informed, it offers particular straightforward helps for teaching and preaching scriptures. Bible for Vital Congregations includes a list of resources for future study.

“Bible for Vital Congregations” by Barbara J. Essex is scheduled to begin on Sunday, September 23 after worship in the Parlor.  Join Pastor JT as he leads this overview of the Bible, both the Hebrew Scriptures and the Christian Scriptures, and its relevance for the church today.  Please sign up on the sheet on the Cards of Caring table – a count is needed by 9/10 so that the appropriate number of books may be ordered before the first session.  Sessions will be held on 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/21 and 10/28.  There is no cost for the book, however, donations will be accepted.
