From 2008 on our missions to the gulf have been geared to providing an alternative spring break for university students. To date we have had students from Alma, FSU, Michigan State, Northern MI, and CMU. Our missions include a week of work on homes damaged by the various gulf storms, an evening trip to the French Quarter in New Orleans, and a educational boat trip into the surrounding wetlands. The groups have scraped and painted, worked on dry wall, built porches and wheel chair ramps, and done other minor carpentry jobs. This years mission will be to Houma LA leaving in the AM of March 9th and returning a week later.
